Amanda and Nick had an elegant, beautiful wedding at the Jacksonville Country Club, and they are one of our new sample weddings on our wedding photography website. The ceremony was under beautiful shade trees on the golf course and the reception was in the clubhouse.

The day featured amazing service and food (as always) from the Jacksonville, Illinois Country Club. Tom Anderson from An Event Design went above and beyond with incredible arrangements, bouquets and boutineers. Icing On the Cake made an incredibly delicious and beautiful wedding cake. A Hair Company provided hair and makeup services and made sure all the ladies felt beautiful in their comfortable and beautiful salon.

Amanda’s mom walked her down the aisle and where she and Nick exchanged vows and rings while the guests enjoyed the shade, the beautiful weather and the touching ceremony. The guests signed a special guest book by putting their thumbprints on a drawing of a peacock. And the speeches by the maid and matron of honor and best man were touching and personal.

They danced the night away to great tunes, and Amanda & Nick even snuck away for a few minutes to have a few minutes alone under the full moon.

See more photos on Facebook. Thanks for the five-star review from the bride, and another from Godmother Sharon. The portrait at the top of this blog post was one of our most liked images on Facebook, 2015.  As said on Facebook: “Other photographers take the kind of photos you see on Pinterest. You take the kind you see in magazines.”

Wedding Photography for Adria and Jeremy in Jacksonville, Illinois

We added a new sample of wedding photography to our web page today. Adria & Jeremy were married September 2015 in Jacksonville, Illinois. Their ceremony was at MacMurray College’s Annie Merner Chapel, and reception at Hamilton’s 110 North East.

We’ve been hearing frustrating stories from families who had to wait for months for their photographer to deliver their wedding photos.  Adria and Jeremy not only received their photos from us in the same month, but also picked their top images and had their wedding album to share at Christmastime.

Thanks to Adria for the five-star review on Facebook. Here’s the layout of their wedding coffee table book, as well as some of our favorite photos from the day.

On a personal note, Tiffany’s poetry attracts spotlight

Something not wedding photography related . . . Tiffany Warmowski was, I guess you can say honored, to be included in the latest episode of the Mortifed podcast. Tiffany explains . . .

There’s a podcast and stage show called Mortified, where adults read the diaries they wrote as teenagers. I was listening to this podcast when they had a call for horrible teen poetry. This is a tongue-in-cheek contest sponsored with the Poetry Foundation. Well, in addition to books and books of diary pages, I also have quite the collection of really, really bad poetry I wrote as a teenager. I chose two poems and called the phone number where I read each poem and gave a little background on why I wrote each one.
Well, apparently my horrible poem, titled, “Yesterday” stuck out to them. You can hear me on the podcast reading part of the poem I wrote as a freshman in high school. Let’s just say that “Mortified” is a very accurate description of how I’m feeling!

Tiffany was given the Award For The Most Misguided Attempt To Cheer Up A Friend, Only To Probably Make Them Feel A Whole Lot Worse. Hear Tiffany in the podcast on SoundCloud at 20:26 in episode 45 Emma: The Girl Who Cried Y2K.

Our bride & groom on cover of Illinois Times’ Capital City Wedding Guide 2015

Cover of Illinois Times Capital City Wedding Guide 2015

We were thrilled that our image of Laura & Josh was chosen for the cover of the Illinois Times’ Capital City Wedding guide 2015.

They had their summer 2013 ceremony at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the first wedding there in modern times. They couldn’t set up for the outdoor wedding ceremony until after the national park closed, but Signature Event Rental was able to set up the chairs in time. Laura & Josh are history buffs, so they asked if the park hosted weddings and the director used the event for a trial run.

After the ceremony Steve jumped in a 1972 Plymouth Fury III that Josh’s family uses for special events. That’s how the Illinois Times cover shot and some other fun photos came about.

A photo of Laura & Josh was used inside last year’s supplement as well. Theirs was a fun wedding that really showed their personality.

Warmowski Photography was incredible! They captured every special moment from multiple angles. Their photography continues to bring the memories to life from our big day. It doesn’t hurt that they are very personable. They are the type of people you’d love to have as personal friends.

See Laura’s review of our wedding photography on Yelp.

We used Warmowski Photography for our wedding in May 2013. I could seriously go on and on about how much we loved our photos and our photographers! Every special moment was perfectly captured. Since we didn’t have a wedding video made, I really wanted photography that would keep our memory of the day alive. Now almost two years later, we are able to relive that beautiful day thanks to the Warmowski’s. I follow their Facebook page to keep up with current weddings because they are so talented! I highly recommend them! They are also extremely nice people. They’re the type of people you’d love to have as friends. There are a lot of options when it comes to wedding photography and I urge those considering their options to think of the type of photos that you will want your children and grandchildren to look back on. In 30 years, no one will remember what flavor of cake you had or how good the music was, but they definitely will be looking at your photos. For me, photography was the most important part and we could not have made a better choice. I strongly suggest Warmowski Photography!!
Oh! And we’re not the only one’s who thought our pictures were great. The Illinois Times Capital City Wedding Guide agreed because we were in the 2014 edition and are now on the cover of the 2015 edition!

We know Euro Trash owner Annie Brahler as a designer who’s made her mark on the national scene. Lately she’s been getting press as the person who designed U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock’s Washington office.

We’ve offered assistance to Annie as she has hosted photographers and art directors from national home magazines. Her historic home on State Street in Jacksonville has been featured in numerous home and style magazines. Annie also let Steve follow her when he photographed for the America At Home project (she appeared in the book).

Euro Trash is a bright spot in the economy of Jacksonville, Illinois. The company imports items purchased at sales and markets in Europe, and she has a team of trained carpenters and  refinishers who fix up the home goods which make their way into the homes of St. Louis sports stars and other high-end homes.
