They had their summer 2013 ceremony at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the first wedding there in modern times. They couldn’t set up for the outdoor wedding ceremony until after the national park closed, but Signature Event Rental was able to set up the chairs in time. Laura & Josh are history buffs, so they asked if the park hosted weddings and the director used the event for a trial run.
After the ceremony Steve jumped in a 1972 Plymouth Fury III that Josh’s family uses for special events. That’s how the Illinois Times cover shot and some other fun photos came about.
The reception was at Panther Creek Country Club. Shot of DJ Mike Testa scratching tunes (he’s now “Spin” – music services offered by Signature Event Rental); cake by Specialty Cakes.
A photo of Laura & Josh was used inside last year’s supplement as well. Theirs was a fun wedding that really showed their personality.

Warmowski Photography was incredible! They captured every special moment from multiple angles. Their photography continues to bring the memories to life from our big day. It doesn’t hurt that they are very personable. They are the type of people you’d love to have as personal friends.

We used Warmowski Photography for our wedding in May 2013. I could seriously go on and on about how much we loved our photos and our photographers! Every special moment was perfectly captured. Since we didn’t have a wedding video made, I really wanted photography that would keep our memory of the day alive. Now almost two years later, we are able to relive that beautiful day thanks to the Warmowski’s. I follow their Facebook page to keep up with current weddings because they are so talented! I highly recommend them! They are also extremely nice people. They’re the type of people you’d love to have as friends. There are a lot of options when it comes to wedding photography and I urge those considering their options to think of the type of photos that you will want your children and grandchildren to look back on. In 30 years, no one will remember what flavor of cake you had or how good the music was, but they definitely will be looking at your photos. For me, photography was the most important part and we could not have made a better choice. I strongly suggest Warmowski Photography!! Oh! And we’re not the only one’s who thought our pictures were great. The Illinois Times Capital City Wedding Guide agreed because we were in the 2014 edition and are now on the cover of the 2015 edition!

We’ve offered assistance to Annie as she has hosted photographers and art directors from national home magazines. Her historic home on State Street in Jacksonville has been featured in numerous home and style magazines. Annie also let Steve follow her when he photographed for the America At Home project (she appeared in the book).
Euro Trash is a bright spot in the economy of Jacksonville, Illinois. The company imports items purchased at sales and markets in Europe, and she has a team of trained carpenters and refinishers who fix up the home goods which make their way into the homes of St. Louis sports stars and other high-end homes.

The event reminds us Amanda & Luke’s wedding. They met while running on the recreational path at Centennial Park in Springfield, Illinois and we went out and photographed them on the trail before their reception at the Firefighters-Postal Club on Lake Springfield. Just one way our wedding photography can tell the story of your wedding day.

Your Capital City Wedding planner, the bridal guide forIllinois Times, just hit newsstands. It contains ideas for planning your wedding, including wedding dresses, complete guide to Springfield, Illinois wedding venues, tips for planning your wedding, this year’s top wedding trends — and some of our wedding photography.
The bridal planner also included one of our photos of Rushita & Benjamin’s Indian wedding (above). The wedding couple based their event out of the Springfield Hilton downtown hotel (700 E Adams St, Springfield, IL 62701), and had sangeet, mendi, mandap muhurat, as well as other South Indian wedding traditions and a grand reception at the hotel. They also had a Western wedding at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1725 S. Walnut, Springfield, IL 62704), and a second reception at the Hilton. Here’s some more photos from the day.

Buena Vista Resort has a new “Complete Wedding Weekend” package which can include extra nights in their resort cabins or spa services at the wedding venue in rural Jacksonville, Illinois near Springfield. It’s a way for brides to enjoy a wedding weekend, with more time with friends and family, on top of their wedding day.
“We had several brides last year that really enjoyed a wedding weekend as opposed to a wedding day,” said owner Teri Gutierrez. “As the mother of the bride a few years ago, I can say that it went by too fast! I wanted a do over in slow motion, because it was such a wonderful day and such a wonderful party with many traveling from Iowa and Indiana. We just did not get enough time to enjoy our friends that we do not get to see often enough.”
Buena Vista features an air-conditioned “Euro” tent; a cabin to get ready with full inside restrooms for guests; game area for kids; and more. Their resort area with cabins on their pond also hosts spa services such as manicures, massages (hot stone, sugar scrub, deep tissue for example) and haircuts, formal hair style or up-do. Check their website or call Teri 217.370.1219 for details.
Buena Vista attracts weddings from Springfield, Peoria, Champaign-Urbana, Bloomington-Normal, Decatur, St. Louis, Chicago and all over the Midwest.
Here’s some of our wedding photography from outdoor weddings at the resort.

Working on wedding photos from Kimberly & Stephen’s wedding at Cog Hill Country Club in Lemont (suburban Chicago). One of the neat personal touches is guests were able to sign a pair of wine bottles – to act as a guest registry. Kim says they plan to open the bottles to celebrate their first anniversary.
Wedding was held at St. Patrick’s Church in Lemont. The bride and groom hail from Jacksonville, and had Warmowski Photography come up to capture their day. We travel all over the region for wedding photography — Champaign, Bloomington-Normal, Metro East St. Louis, Chicago. We’ve even gone international to Canada (Victoria, British Columbia) and overseas (Buxton, England).
Guests at Kim & Steve’s wedding signed bottles of wine for guest book.
